Our Story
Zawadi Memorial Health Training Institute was established in 2018. In honor of the son and only child of our founder, Ms Valeria Dominic Mrema, in the good will to educate qualified health experts. They will provide medical care that will target under-privileged groups (i.e. women, elders and children) in the rural areas. This will facilitate access to healthcare in the Kilimanjaro region and provide the equal opportunity for Tanzanians to lead a healthy life regardless of their race, gender, education, sexual orientation, or economic background.
The Institute has partnered with the Mawenzi Hospital, Moshi, which serves as the teaching hospital for the enrolled Zawadi Memorial Training Institute students. Practical trainings and examinations will be carried out at this hospital, and the Nganjoni Clinic. Through field studies students will gain the required knowledge, exposure and the hands-on experience needed to succeed as future healthcare workers.
Here at the Zawadi Memorial Health Training Institute we believe everyone in Tanzania is entitled to adequate healthcare. It is our priority to contribute to a health system that would benefit all Tanzanians by helping future students such as yourself succeed in the medical field and acquire a meaningful education and diploma.
